Pamela Davison
Foreign Trade Zone Administrator
Pamela Davison is the Foreign Trade Zones Administrator for Triangle J Council of Governments’ FTZ #93 in the Research Triangle area and a consultant to other foreign trade zones in the state. The FTZ program in the Triangle area and much of the rest of North Carolina has been her responsibility since 1985.
In 1987 she helped to found the Research Triangle World Trade Center, now the World Trade Center North Carolina. She was Executive Secretary for over fifteen years and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.
At various times Pamela served as CEO, Federal Grants Administrator, and Community and Government Relations Director for WTCNC. Currently she serves as Senior Advisor to the Executive Director and Executive Committee.
She is currently the Vice Chair of the North Carolina District Export Council, an advisory group to the United States Secretary of Commerce. She serves on the Duke University Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER) Board of Directors. She has served on the state board of directors of the North Carolina World Trade Association for over 10 years and was two-term president of the NCWTA Triangle Chapter.
Pamela holds a Masters in Public Affairs & a B.A., Cum Laude in Politics from North Carolina State University. She is a graduate of the “Leadership Triangle” Program, and a two-term chair of the Board of Directors. Her civic activities include membership in the Society for the Preservation of Historic Oakwood, the neighborhood where she and her daughter, Sibyl have lived for many years. Her spouse is a professor of Soil Science at Clemson University. The family attends Trinity UMC, Raleigh.
